2020 Graduation Procedure

1. The 2020 Golden Plains Graduation will take place on Saturday, July 18th at 10:00 a.m.

2. The ceremony will be held at the football field in Rexford. The football field is located West of Golden Plains Middle / High School on School Street.

3. The ceremony is open to the public and is NOT limited to those who want to attend.

4. USD 316 asks that anyone that has a fever or symptoms similar to Covid-19 not attend the ceremony.

5. For those who can not attend graduation in person, a YouTube Live link will be provided for public viewing.

6. Each family will be limited to 6 family members on the football field. Chairs will be set up in rows with family’s names on them. There will be 6 feet between rows.

7. The stands will be limited to the graduate’s family and Golden Plains staff members.

8. All others attending the ceremony are welcome to bring a lawn chair and sit in front of their vehicles but behind the wire that separates the field from the parking area.

9. We ask that those attending graduation keep their gatherings to family members only. Otherwise, social distancing will be practiced when and where possible. There is NOT to be any physical contact made during the ceremony with anyone outside of your immediate family.

10. There will not be a receiving line or reception after the ceremony has been completed.

11. In place of a receiving line, the graduates will line up south of the concession stand and near the wire fence on School Street. Those attending the graduation are encouraged to honk and give words of encouragement as they depart the football field.

12. Please remember that although this is not an ideal situation. The ceremony is being held in honor of the Class of 2020 and your respect for all those in attendance is greatly appreciated.
