Two Bulldogs Named to All-League Academic Team
           Morgan Ritter and Gabrielle Schiltz from Golden Plains High School were named to the Western Kansas Liberty League All-League Academic Team during the championship games of the league basketball tournament on February 4.
            To be selected for this honor, senior must have a minimum 3.7 GPA and have participated in at least six athletic event and six non-athletic events throughout their high school career.
            Morgan Ritter, daughter of Robert and Laura Ritter of Selden, has been a four-year team member of both volleyball and basketball and plans to compete in track for a fourth year.  She has participated in cheerleading, yearbook, National Honor Society, band, and has been class secretary for two years and class president for two years.  “It’s an honor to be selected,” said Ritter.  “It’s good to be recognized for all the hard work throughout high school.”
            Gabrielle Schiltz, daughter of Jeremy and Nicole Schiltz of Selden, has also been a four-year team member of the volleyball, basketball and track teams.  She has also participated in track, yearbook, National Honor Society, vocal and served as class secretary for three years.  “It’s nice to be selected not just as top of our class,” said Schiltz, “but as one of the top in the league.”
